Adrian Green
Adrian Green has over 25 years of international experience as an economist for Government and for aid and development agencies. He has extensive experience in managing strategy development processes at community, regional and national level, establishing national forums, bringing together multi-sectoral stakeholders from government, communities, academic life and the private sector. Adrian is currently working on investment projects with companies in the UK and Middle East, and has provided economic reform advice, corporate planning, investment promotion and project management in the UK, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Caribbean and Africa. A former London School of Economics Project Manager and Board Member of a diversified UK PLC, Adrian has experience in working with Fortune 500 companies on developments in three continents.
Both in the UK and overseas, Adrian has undertaken economic competitiveness, sectoral reviews and economic diversification projects for Governments and for growth companies. These included support to business reform programmes, major infrastructure investment programmes on ports, airports and industrial development, as well as SME investment projects.
In the 1990s Adrian Green was part of the team which established the Scottish Institution of Economic Development and later built up the United Kingdom Institution of Economic Development as Vice Chair and subsequently Director, International. Adrian's earlier experience lies in economic strategy with the Scottish Development Agency and in business development with the London School of Economics.
