As the military and donor community withdrew from Iraq in early 2009 it was very clear that the country had massive investment potential, significant interest from the international community and a wariness driven by some of the security-focused news that came out of the country.   

 

To address this Upper Quartile teamed up with AAIB Insurance and now joint own two fragile-country publications concentrating on bringing the investment opportunities available to the private sector to the forefront of news.

 

The publications employ 4 full-time staff, are free and financed through advertising – currently there are approching 300,000 hits a month on the sites and a subscriber list of private investors of almost 11,000.
